Specifications

Good to know

• A duvet cover set is the cover plus shams — the duvet insert itself isn't included. The cover is the part that shows and the part that gets washed, which is the whole idea: the insert stays protected and the look can change with the cover.
• 100% linen woven from French-grown flax. 'French flax' names where the flax plant was grown — France is one of the traditional flax-growing regions — and linen is the fabric woven from that fibre. Pure linen, no cotton or synthetic in the mix.
• Linen's character, stated plainly: it is woven from flax, it breathes and absorbs moisture well, and it wrinkles — the creased, relaxed look is inherent to the fibre, not a defect. If you want a pressed, hotel-crisp bed, linen will fight you; if you like the soft rumpled look, nothing else does it.
• Closure: button. On a duvet cover the closure is a daily-use detail — buttons are classic and repairable, zips are fastest, ties sit in between. Whichever this one uses, check it runs or fastens cleanly when the cover arrives.
• 3 pieces in the set. Bedding sets count pieces differently — shams and pillowcases are pieces too — so the listing's contents list, not the headline number, is what to compare.
