Good to know

Rattan is a woody vine — rigid, light and strong for its weight, which is why it has been basket and furniture material for centuries. A rattan basket holds its shape properly; it is the least forgiving here if you need to squash it into a gap.
Listed for general storage — the shelf, cupboard and corner-of-the-room jobs. The one measurement that matters: your shelf or gap against the basket's dimensions below, because 'medium' means something different to every maker.
It has handles, per the listing — on a storage basket that sounds minor until the basket is full of books or laundry and needs carrying one-handed through a doorway.
Listed dimensions: 12"D x 8"W x 6"H. Measure the shelf, cubby or floor spot first — woven baskets often taper, so the base can be narrower than the rim measurement suggests.
Care for woven baskets generally: dust or vacuum with a brush attachment, spot-clean marks, and keep natural fibres dry and out of prolonged damp.
