Good to know

Rattan is a woody vine — rigid, light and strong for its weight, which is why it has been basket and furniture material for centuries. A rattan basket holds its shape properly; it is the least forgiving here if you need to squash it into a gap.
Listed as a plant basket: a decorative outer for a plant pot. Woven baskets aren't waterproof — keep the plant in its nursery pot with a saucer inside the basket, and lift it out to water, or the weave will wick moisture and mark the floor.
Listed dimensions: 13 x 13 x 14.17 inches. Measure the shelf, cubby or floor spot first — woven baskets often taper, so the base can be narrower than the rim measurement suggests.
Care for woven baskets generally: dust or vacuum with a brush attachment, spot-clean marks, and keep natural fibres dry and out of prolonged damp.
