- This one is genuine mulberry silk. The fibre matters more than the word 'silk' on its own: mulberry is the cultivated silk from silkworms fed on mulberry leaves, and it is the fibre used in almost all quality silk bedding.
- Hidden zipper closure: the pillow stays fully enclosed and the zip sits under a fabric flap, so no exposed pull rests against your face. When it arrives, run the zip once — it is the one mechanical part, and the part most likely to fail first.
- 16 momme. Momme is the weight of silk fabric: a higher momme generally means a denser, heavier and more hard-wearing weave, and pillowcases most often sit in the high teens to mid-twenties.
- Sized King — a standard US king pillow is about 20 × 36 in. If your pillow falls between sizes, the larger case is usually the safer pick: a tight silk case stresses seams and zips.
